Ethical Property Investment aims to address the issue of homelessness by offering a solution that benefits both at-risk individuals and investors. The approach involves constructing and providing affordable and high-quality housing for Australians who are often overlooked by society. As a result, small-scale investors can also achieve long-term financial security while contributing to a positive social outcome.
Goro Gupta, the founder of Ethical Property Investment, migrated to Australia from Dubai in 1990 with his family. The family struggled financially until Goro’s father looked for a way out of the poverty cycle. Turning to property investment as a solution, attending seminars and workshops to learn everything he could, Goro accompanies his father on a learning journey. By the time he was 18, the father-son duo began building a property empire, together.
Goro’s plan is to build 80 houses in the next year, offsetting the 650 000 additional people that will be needing homes over the next two years, as immigrants enter the country. Goro’s houses will all be tailored to the needs of their tenants. He’s also working with Empowered Liveability (one of his own subsidiaries) to build specialist disability homes across Victoria, giving young adults with disabilities the chance to live independently.
Investors typically invest in houses that suit a standard family, with rising rents, this pushes singles and other types of people out, who have to live in caravan parks and tents. What Goro does differently is to give them the opportunity to live in safe, secure homes by finding investors who want to build houses that are customized to the requirements of the people that desperately need them. Goro’s approach challenges the belief that profit and social responsibility can’t go hand in hand. He’s showing that it’s possible to do well and do good at the same time, reiterating that core message with his personal motto #DoGoodMakeMoney.
Ethical Property Investment is revolutionizing the way investors view their properties. Traditionally, investors focused solely on obtaining a high yield, without giving much thought to the well-being of their tenants. However, Ethical Property Investment proposes a different approach — one that channels investments into ventures that have a positive social impact while still yielding high returns. In contrast to the traditional model, Ethical Property Investment’s strategy prioritizes the tenants’ welfare, creating a win-win scenario for all parties involved. The company understands what works and what doesn’t, and they are committed to making a meaningful impact in the community through its investments.
